Focus Application
If you are interested in applying for Andrew Jackson Middle School's Fine Art Focus School program, the application needs to be completed. The deadline for the paperwork is March 2, 2012. After reviewing the applications for completion, individual applicants will receive specific audition information in regards to time, date, place, and other requirements.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on Feb. 16, 2012 from 4 until 7 pm. Teachers will send home appointment sheets with students closer to the date.
e-Books Available at AJMS
AJMS
media center is pleased to announce that we now offer e-books for our
users. The e-books can be checked out for 10 days. At the end of 10
days the books are automatically extracted from your account or device.
You can click here to access the e-book shelf.
If you are interested in checking our books from the e-book shelf,
please stop by the media center so an username and password can be
created for you. You do have the option to read e-books online or you
can download them to your laptop or e-reader. A reading device download
is available, if needed. See Mrs. Horton for all the details.
Math Resource Position
Mrs. Courtney Hoots will be working with us as our Math resource teacher until after Christmas break. Mrs. Hoots is a certified educator who previously taught 8th grade math for Mr. Williams. She worked well with all individuals during the 7 week period teaching math. We are excited about her willingness to assist us as we address this vacancy.
Box Tops for Education
AJMS collects Box Tops for Education. All proceeds benefit the library. This allows the library to buy books to help improve its selection for students. There are four different Box Top dress down competitions that are held. One homeroom per grade level has a chance to win a dress down per competition. Details will be given to the students at the beginning of the school year!
